Students will lay up a “cathead” base and weave with a chase weave using a round and a flat weaver. Shaping a round basket will be taught. Round reed dyed accent will be taught using a three rod wale technique. Rim fitting, scarfing and double lashing will be taught. 

Students will be able to personalize their basket by stitching on the three rod wale accent for a decorative finish on this useful basket.

Some work will be done standing but mostly sitting.  Please note that your hands will be in and out of water.
