Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

You have always admired and loved the beautiful blue achieved from dyeing with indigo.

This workshop will help you gain a level of confidence in indigo dyeing as you work through the process from start to finish. You will be using “pre-reduced indigo”, which is 60% reduced and only needs soda ash to complete the vat.

Now that lye is no longer needed in the preparation of the vat, this new form of indigo is a great step toward a more eco-friendly way of dyeing with indigo. In addition to preparing and maintaining the indigo vat, you will explore several types of shibori resist techniques to create pattern. Everyone will go home with beautiful indigo dyed silk scarves!

Level of Experience - Beginner

We will be working in a heated tent with dye and water.

Vicki can be contacted by emailing vickijensen53@gmail.com with any questions.
