Wired to the Core: Spinning Wirecore Yarns - Sat AM LIMITED

In this one day workshop we will learn how spin and create with yarn that uses wire as its core.

Techniques to be covered include basic core spinning around wire and the tricks required to successfully create a flexible yarn while also adding beehive coils, cocoons and more.

We will also be using wire as a plying material to create supercoiled yarns moldable yarns. Samples of finished works with completed yarns and suggestions for how to use this exciting resulting material will be emphasized.

Level of Experience: Intermediate/Advanced spinners
