One of the first things we lose as spinners when we are learning is that character of an uneven single. The thick and thin yarn that came so easily when all we wanted was a fine single begins to elude us. While the skill to create a fine even yarn are immensely helpful in most knitting projects, sometimes we really need that thick and thin characteristic to make a nice warm and chunky knit.

We will cover how staple length effect the regular intervals of thick to thin to create a sturdy and usable yarn that will really showcase the color gradients of the fiber you are using. Additionally, we will explore plying techniques beehive coils, supercoils, and more that lend themselves well to a thick and thin single. 

Level of Experience: Intermediate/Advanced spinners
