Crazy for Corespinning - Thurs. AM LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Corespinning is the technique of spinning fiber around a core yarn, which provides an excellent blank canvas for a wide range of wildly creative effects!

In this class, we will explore the potential of corespinning, learning  not only how to make a richly textured balanced corespun yarn, but also to spin in objects such as feathers, locks,  beads and fabric strips to the yarn.  Particular attention will be given to spinning yarns that are balanced and usable as well as fun and creative.

Prerequisites:  Students should have some previous wheel spinning experience and be comfortable producing a basic yarn.
