PA German Band Weaving - Picking it Up! - SOLD OUT LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Traditionally woven bands were used as closures or in any place were a tie was required.  They were very utilitarian, but they could also be very decorative.  Join me to take band weaving to the next level.  Learn how to change designs to better fit your needs, plan your own design, draft the pattern, calculate materials, and then how to “pick up” threads to make more intricate beautiful patterns.  These bands can be used to trim the front of a knitted or woven garment, make matching handles for a felted bag, or in any application where both beauty and practicality is needed.

Experience:  should have taken my introduction to band weaving class or have weaving experience. (Inkle, rigid heddle, or floor loom)
