Top-Down Crochet Sweaters
Working a garment from the top down is a popular knitting technique, and now, with Top-Down Crochet Sweaters, designer Dora Ohrenstein opens up the technique to crocheters, offering them the chance to unpack and explore all the beautiful possibilities available with top-down crochet garments. After a thorough workshop on the top-down technique — with step-by-step instructions accompanied by color photographs — Ohrenstein presents 14 sweater patterns. Two versions of each sweater are made with different yarns, usually in a different gauge, with options for six different sizes and variations in style. With options for several different necklines, silhouettes, lengths, and other stylistic elements, plus unique stitches to optimize shaping and drape, crocheters will be amazed by the stylish, contemporary designs now available for their favorite craft.
